Το "Epitaph" είναι ένα τραγούδι από την αγγλική progressive rock μπάντα με το όνομα King Crimson. Είναι το τρίτο κατά σειρά τραγούδι που συμπεριλήφθηκε στον πρώτο δίσκο τους με τίτλο "In The Court Of The Crimson King" το 1969.
Το "Epitaph" είναι ένα από τα πιο διαχρονικά τραγούδια. Ο τίτλος του τραγουδιού καθώς και οι στίχοι αναφέρονται στο
μήνυμα που εμφανίζεται πάνω σε μια ταφόπλακα. Σε αυτό το τραγούδι ο

Το "Lady In Black" από την ροκ μπάντα των Uriah Heep, είναι το τέταρτο τραγούδι του δίσκου με τίτλο "Salisbury" ο οποίος κυκλοφόρησε το 1971. Το τραγούδι πιστώνεται στον Ken Hesley (κιθαρίστας και τραγουδιστής του συγκροτήματος).
Μας εξιστορεί την ιστορία ενός άντρα που περιπλανιέται σε έναν αποδιοργανωμένο σκοτεινό πόλεμο ο οποίος ανακαλύπτει μια θεϊκή οντότητα που τον παρηγορεί. Το τραγούδι είναι μια φιλοσοφική παραβολή η οποία μας λέει ότι το κακό δεν μπορεί να ξεπερνάει τον εαυτό του.
Το "Lady In Black" έφτασε το νούμερο #1 στα γερμανικά chart και το νούμερο #6 στα αντίστοιχα της Ελβετίας και της Βόρειας Αφρικής.

Το Boat On The River είναι ένα τραγούδι του 1979 από το συγκρότημα των Styx, από τον δίσκο "Cornerstone". Κυκλοφόρησε σαν single το 1980 αλλά δεν κατάφερε να μπει στα αμερικανικά chart. Ωστόσο ήταν δημοφιλές σε γερμανόφωνα κράτη και κατάφερε να μπει στα γερμανικά chart έχοντας την θέση 5, στα αυστριακά έχοντας την θέση 2 και στα ελβετικά πιάνοντας την κορυφή.

Το τραγούδι Dust In The Wind ηχογραφήθηκε από την αμερικανική progressive rock μπάντα Kansas και γράφτηκε από τον Kerry Livgren (κιθαρίστα του συγκροτήματος). Συμπεριλήφθηκε στον δίσκο "Point Of No Return" ο οποίος κυκλοφόρησε το 1977.
Το Dust In The Wind έπιασε την θέση #6 στα αμερικανικά τσαρτ με τα 100 καλύτερα τραγούδια στις 22 Απριλίου 1978 και ήταν το μόνο single του συγκροτήματος που το κατάφερε.
Το κομμάτι της κιθάρας γράφτηκε από τον Kerry Livgren καθώς έκανε εξάσκηση για να μάθει την τεχνική του fingerpicking. Η γυναίκα του η Vicci άκουγε τον ήχο της κιθάρας, του επισήμανε ότι ήταν ωραίος ο ήχος και τον ενθάρρυνε να γράψει στίχους πάνω σε αυτή τη μελωδία. Ο Kerry δεν ήταν σίγουρος αν θα άρεσε και στα υπόλοιπα μέλη του συγκροτήματος, αλλά όταν οι τελευταίοι το άκουσαν τότε εγκρίθηκε να μπει για ηχογράφηση.
Το Dust In The Wind ήταν το πρώτο ακουστικό τραγούδι των Kansas. Πρόκειται για μία αργή και μελαγχολική μελωδία με φιλοσοφημένους στίχους, διαφορετικούς από τα άλλα τραγούδια που έγιναν hit όπως το "Carry On Wayward Son" και το "Point Of No Return". Πρόκειται για έναν διαλογισμό στην θνητότητα και μια σιγουριά για τον θάνατο. Το λυρικό θέμα πετυχαίνει μια ομοιότητα και μας προτρέπει στην Γένεσση 3:19 ("...for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.") αλλά η πραγματική έμπνευση προήλθε από το βιβλίο "Native American" το οποίο επρόκειτο για μια ποιητική συλλογή η οποία περιέχει την γραμμή "for all we are is dust in the wind."

Το The Temple Of The King είναι ένα από τα πιο διαχρονικά τραγούδια το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε από το συγκρότημα των Rainbow. Την μουσική την έχει γράψει ο Ritchie Blackmore (κιθαρίστας και ιδρυτής του συγκροτήματος) και τους στίχους ο Ronnie James Dio (τραγουδιστής του συγκροτήματος). Το τραγούδι συμπεριλήφθηκε στον δίσκο "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" που κυκλοφόρησε στις 4 Αυγούστου 1975 μέσω της δισκογραφικής εταιρείας "Polydor". Ένας δίσκος ο οποίος έγινε ασημένιος αφού κατάφερε να ανέβει στο Top 30 των αμερικανικών chart και να φθάσει το #11 στα αντίστοιχα βρετανικά.
